boo

Hey, 1:15am on November 1st. That counts.

This is the disadvantage of not posting anything substantial in a long time, and really, it’s indicative of my primary chronic problem in life. Too much stuff to catch up on, so any minor or partial report before the big debrief feels weird, so I just don’t do it, and the issue continues, forever. Fortunately, I’ve got a fairly decent high-level routine going on, so aside from a few local variations (spent last week in Manhattan, doing a show which sold out and went awesome, woo for us) and day-to-day flavor, it’s all pretty much the same. Work, baby, improv, a little bit of game stuff, a litle bit of this and that.  There might be a little more travel for shows in the future, and there’s  BGGCon coming up soon, but other than that, it’s all the usual.

So, the day-to-day flavor, working backwards. We got our nanny to babysit tonight so we could go out and do grown-up stuff, but neither of us had gotten together costumes, and we’re kind of lame, so instead of going out and doing Halloween stuff or hitting a party, we just went and caught The Darjeeling Limited at the Drafthouse down here. Super good. Earlier this evening, we dressed up Paidia as a dinosaur or dragon or lizard or something and brought her out to see the little improvised kid’s storytelling show that a few of us did at BookPeople. Asaf, Aden, Tom Booker, Erin and I, making up Halloween stuff for a couple dozen toddlers and their folks. Very fun little show - we did something similar for Roald Dahl’s birthday a while back, and I hope we get to do more soon.

Today was pretty low productivity, work-wise. Very tired. I blame Freeman and the Combine. I threw that can right in that dude’s face, and he was all like, “gonna zap you!”, but I didn’t let him. Ran around that train station like a really fast running around thing. Then there was the giant bugs. Good night.

Updates daily. I know you’re riveted.
